about reading 1

This major new manifesto offers a "clear and compelling vision of a postcapitalist society" and shows how left-wing politics can be rebuilt for the 21st century (Mark Fisher, author of Capitalist Realism)

Neoliberalism isn’t working. Austerity is forcing millions into poverty and many more into precarious work, while the left remains trapped in stagnant political practices that offer no respite.

Inventing the Future is a bold new manifesto for life after capitalism. Against the confused understanding of our high-tech world by both the right and the left, this book claims that the emancipatory and future-oriented possibilities of our society can be reclaimed. Instead of running from a complex future.

In the book, the authors argue that the impact of artificial intelligence, automation and digital technology on society is inevitable. The development of these technologies will lead to the automation of jobs, and many jobs will disappear, this trend is irreversible. However, it also provides an opportunity to address the problems facing capitalist societies, including unemployment, poverty and inequality.

To address these issues, the authors propose the concept of a universal basic income, a policy that guarantees basic living expenses for all. By eliminating the need for jobs and wages, people will be able to pursue more meaningful lives and activities and be better able to cope with environmental and social challenges. This, the authors argue, will be a major transformation that will require political cooperation and negotiation.

In addition, the author discusses how to achieve a truly communist society and stresses the importance of political organization and action. They believe there must be a new political force that can move society in a more just, equal and democratic direction. This force must be creative and inclusive, drawing on talent and ideas from different fields.

To process

I found this problem because I occasionallu chatted with friend from LCF college about the process of making clothes. She said that the emergence of the virtual world actulally helped them a lot..

In turn,I asked her a question. Do you think someone will really male digital clothes? Do you wear it,or is it just that the restrictions on making clothes in the process provide a lot of onfinity.

She didn’t answer me either, which is why I decided to do this research.

In the process, I asked my friend who is an NFT in China, the concept of the metaverse he mentioned,I still don’t understand it very well. So I checked the literature, help me figure it out.

for example

1.Teens are turning themselves into Gucci models on TikTok.

2.whether they’re a model for a virtual catwak, someone looking for a social media influencer to expend their raech,a gaming avatar who needs a fashion edge or a custom outfit for a movie character.

3.Clothing from luxury brands has been copied and adapted into the aesthetics of games such as Animal Crossing. Including Chanel,Gucci, and Versace. In addition,it has also become a platform for users to dis play clothing designs.

4.fashion retailer Topshop has installed a kinectpowered virtual fitting room in its moscow store. simple gestures and on- screen buttons allow users to “try on” different garments, but it”s not accurate.

Don’t Overdo It

overall, social media has driven fashion’s impact on our daily lives and values.Fashion plays a central role in mass production and is constantly evolving due to the ongoing digital transformation.

Tidy

the fashion industry doesn;t happen voernight, maybe a day customers can just take look at it and decide what is suitable and what products to buy. but for now this is not accurate.

Still, it now looks lile it’s going to trun to the real world and start using avatars of real people.

Metaverse and Virtual fashion

qusetion.

Why would anyone buy a piece of clothing that doesn’t esist?

And as you can see, It’s not that it doesn’t esist.

Digtal fashion is real, and it exists in so many virtual universes, ranfing nfrom basic social notworks to fully developed virtual worlds known sa the metaverse, letting people express themselves in a way not possible before.

I noticed was people usually buying clothes just to post a photo of themselves wearing it on their social channels. And later on, they woupd resell it. So they didn’t need or want the actual garment. They wanted its image, ande that image was bveing used online.

Like most of my generation, they had their friends, peers, role models in the virtual space, and this is where we care to express ourselves.

digtal fashion.

You can experience fashion in its purset form, devoid of functional barriers.

You don’t need your sleeves there.

You don’t even need your hands.Digtal fashion is not an altemative but  an evolutionary step.

And  we are currently at the beginning og this new era

Where you will be able to instantly choose to whom you want to present yourself  wearing multiple different outfits at the same time qne using most advanved technology, like AR or VR

For example.  And not only does it allow for self-expression in totally different contexts, but digital fashion can be zero-wate and inclusice, available to uesrs, regardless of their gender, size or race.no one knows how far it could go. And someone has to dress these people

but

Is this really what we need?

Should we live in reality or invirtual space?

I think that’s what we should think about too.

Do we really need to manage our own charcter design in the virtual world?

We instead of doing most of the development in the physical space, maybe the digital realm somehow forves you to go into that exploratory direction.
